Who wouldn't want to get a card with a picture of a sports player with your name on the back of the jersey? That is why a smile card worked great for this application. It was designed for a recreational camp that was focused on soccer and ran several sessions throughout the summer, with each session lasting a week.
To get kids and parents excited about this camp excitement had to leap off the glossy 80lb. stock of the card and that was effectively done through the colors, graphics, and typography used throughout the inside of this smile card piece.
It also calls the recipient to action asking them to visit their own private URL to sign up for the camp. This makes an easy transition from getting the card and being interested in the camp and actually signing up for it.
An invitation for a group of financial advisors hosting a seminar. The event itself was entitled "Uncertainty" because of the financial state the country is in.
The outside of the card was designed to interrupt the recipient and create a sense of uncertainty. Upon opening the card, the reader is engaged by the personalized of their name, facts supporting the financial advisors, event information, and direction to go to their custom pURL.
Furthermore, there were two invitation tickets packaged inside the card to create a higher demand for them to r.s.v.p. to the seminar. This entire package was sent inside of a hand addressed envelope.

This smile card was a campaign geared to those who wear hearing aids. It was marketing a new and sleek hearing aid that is easier to wear and less noticeable while you are wearing it.
To really speak to the target audience the designer used a sort of nostalgia to engulf the recipient in design that they would be able to relate with. Primarily the recipients of these cards would be over 60 years old that is why the overall feel of the piece is one that is straight out of the 1950's.

The names of the soccer mom or dad, along with his or her child, are mentioned 6 times throughout the card. It excites the young soccer player with their own personal trading card on the inside, which is to be cut out.
